Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Implant surgery includes the placement of the implant fixture into the bone as well as adjunctive surgical procedures that enable patients to have implants. These adjunctive procedures involve bone grafting to re-grow missing bone lost to disease, bone shrinkage or injuries. Use of these special procedures insures long-term health and stability of implant tooth replacements.
